MESIL® ME-570 (CAS2530-85-0) - Functional Silane
MESIL® ME-570, γ-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (γ-MPS) is a silane compound that contains a methacryloxy group and a trimethoxysilane group.
The main application of ME-570 is as a coupling agent in the production of composites, such as fiber-reinforced plastics, where it acts as a bridge between the inorganic fillers and the polymers. This improves the mechanical properties and adhesion of the final product. ME-570 Coupling Agent and Fumed Silica can be added to the resin in addition to these other additives to enhance its performance even further. The coupling agent will react with the substrate to form a strong chemical bond, helping to prevent delamination or peeling over time. Anti-Settling And Thickening agents are used to increase the viscosity of the resin, making it thicker and easier to apply in certain applications.
