MESIL® ME-171, Ethenyltrimethoxysilane(ETMS), also known as Vinyltriethoxysilane(VTEOS), is a reactive silane that contains a vinyl group and three methoxy groups attached to a silicon atom. It is a colorless, low-viscosity liquid that is widely used as a coupling agent in various industrial applications. 


ME-171 contains both an ethylene and a methoxy functional group, which allows it to form strong chemical bonds with inorganic materials, such as silica and glass fibers.
