MESIL® ME-Si69 - Sulfur-functional silane for rubbers and tires


MESIL® ME-Si69(CAS number 40372-72-3), Bis-3-triethoxysilyl-propyl-tetrasulfide, is a chemical compound that contains both silicon and sulfur groups. It is used as a crosslinking agent in the rubber and tire industry, as well as in adhesives, coatings, and electrical insulation. This compound acts as a vulcanizing agent, which means it can improve the mechanical properties of rubber, such as strength, durability and toughness, by forming chemical bonds between the polymer chains. 

ME-Si69 is a liquid at room temperature, which makes it easy to handle and apply in the manufacturing process. By improving the properties of rubber, this compound helps to increase the life and performance of tires, reduce tire rolling resistance and improve fuel efficiency.
